Traditional Costumes from West Sumatra (Sumatra Barat),
Minangkabaunese have many varieties traditional costume which its using always related to special occasion.
The men wear a loose shirt and a wide trouser complemented by Saluak Batimba (head cloth), Kaciak (chest cloth), and Karih (traditional knife) slipped in front of the body.
The women wear traditional coostume Bundo Kanduang that contained of Tengkuluk (head cover), Baju Kurung (special dress), Kodek (a chignon), Salempang (a shawl), and jewelry.
